BVG Metrostation

Rathaus Schöneberg Underground Station is an outstanding example of early 20th-century transport architecture. Originally filled with daylight through large glazed openings, the windows were replaced by simpler versions in the 1960s. Due to vandalism, many are now boarded with OSB panels. As the building is listed, NAICE architects reconstructed the original window design based on historic photos and drawings, upgrading them with safety glazing and other anti-vandalism measures. All interventions were carefully coordinated with the Heritage Authority.
