Rooftop penthouse as family home
A new attic penthouse is being built on top of an existing apartment building built around 1900. The free zigzag shape with many jags has large glass fronts and thus allows very good lighting of the area into the core zone and opens the view into the green neighbourhood. In addition, the folding of the roof results in a good structural framework.
A central core zones the room layout and accommodates secondary rooms. The appearance plays with the expressive forms of the time around 1900 and completely reinterprets them.
